甲骨文“妆”字，从“女”，“爿”(pán)声。本义为修饰、打扮，后引申为女子身上的装饰。
The oracle bone script character“妆”is composed of“女” (nǚ) and“爿” (pán). Its original meaning was“to adorn or dress up”,and it later came to refer to decorations or adornments worn by women.
